About The Event
The Florida Developmental Education Association conference is designed to enhance the professional capabilities of developmental educators in post-secondary institutions. Since 1977, FDEA has prepared educators to better serve Florida students through the theory, delivery, and practice of developmental education, and through the design of programs to prepare effective developmental curricula. This year we are committed to focusing on three goals: professional development, advocacy and outreach.
Full conference registration includes all conference materials, general and concurrent sessions, continental breakfasts, snacks and a lunch on Thursday. The registration fee for members is $90; for non-members the fee is $130 (on or before 10/5/2018). Fees for registration after 10/5/2018 are as follows: $110 for members, $150 for non-members. The daily registration fee includes conference materials, general and concurrent sessions and any refreshment breaks and meals for that day.

Registrations will continue to be accepted through Friday, October 5. After that date, attendees must register on-site, pending space availability.
Full refunds will be given to any registrant who submits a letter of cancellation that is received by Friday, October 12. No refunds will be granted after that date and “no shows” will not be refunded; however, a substitute attendee is permitted, with written notification. “No-shows” registered by purchase order will be invoiced for applicable conference fees.
The host hotel is Hyatt Place Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch, 6021 Exchange Way, Bradenton, FL 34202. Our special conference rate is $129/night, plus tax, with complimentary buffet breakfast and free WiFi.
